For inquiry today I had to sort these into the correct bins, (am not exact sure this is right) This was very fun and it was a bit of a challenge.

This was my favourite one because it was really easy so the first one is 5 syllables and the middle one is 7 and the last one is 5 syllables and i'm excited for the festival of flowers

This is my diamante! it was really fun but it was a challenge to find words that fit in with spring and winter. Half of it is spring and the other half is spring.

Problem of the week

Hi readers! This is what I did for maths it was really easy and fun I got confused on the part where it says "how many trips do they take" and there a 4 treasures and my answer was 4 and now it is 6 because it was how many trips they take to go to the island and back to the ship.

Hi readers this is what i did for my calendar art!

I liked drawing and then using permanent marker to outline it, that was really fun. The challenging part about this was that I kept smudging my work make sure to check out Aaleiyah's calendar art

Hi this is my third activity for reading, It was the first one I worked on and I think I answered the questions easily.

This is what I did for inquiry, it is a compare & contrast activity. I chose Indian because I thought it was amazing how they held bottles on their heads. I also chose Korean because the fans and dresses looked amazing.

Te Reo Maori recording

 

Hi readers this is what me and Eliza did for Te Reo Maori, we were asking he aha tenei and Eliza would say the objects in Maori. This was a really challenging activite because we couldn't really post a video that had mistakes in it we tried hard on this. We keep't laughing but the end video we took was good😜

This is what I did for maths week, my favourite part about it is that we had to

Hi readers this is what I did for writing, I think this was a easy task but not so easy task because I had to use my knowledge and I had to search up facts about Sam Dickson and it took some time, I got confused because the writing was upside down so I couldn't see what I was writing sometimes because the writing was so small, I enjoyed the activity because I could use some of these facts on my Sam Dickson biography that I am working on, If you have questions or concerns please comment them👍

Taku Akomanga (My Classroom) Activity

Hi readers, this is what I did for Te Reo Maori. I had to name ten or more items in this google drawing and I also had to name the colour of the item in Maori. I really enjoyed this activity because I thought naming the items was fun especially because it was a different language that wasn't English but Maori. I think naming the items were a challenge at the start because I didn't grab my book but also I wasn't on task and in general adding the macrons takes up some time, I had to add the sentence He____Tēnei, It was weird because the colour comes before the item I got confused but eventually I got over it! if you have any questions please comment them😊

There is a book that my group is reading and it is about a girl named Violet Walrond who was a New Zealand swimmer I have learnt a lot about her she past away on 1996, she went to the Olympics at a young age but she still came 3rd

Today for reading my reading group (Oliver Jeffers) did a activity about the New Zealand Gallipoli soldier's uniform. We had to label the the stuff that was on the soldier. And my favourite part about doing this activity is because i learnt what the New Zealand soldiers would wear in the old and days.

I have been learning with my group about Weta for reading.

We were reading a chapter in a book could Weta. Then after we went on a web site to do a weta quiz and these are the types of of wetas, Cave weta, Ground weta and Tree weta.

Rangi-sky father

This is what i did for writing it explains how the south islands were creatied. And it also tells you about Rangi-sky father and more. 

Once upon a time there was a sky father named Rangi he had a wife named Pokoharua he also had four children their names were Aoraki which was the oldest and there was also Rakiroa, Rakirua and Rarakiroa. Then their father-Rangi had then fallen in love with Papatuanuku. So the four boys went to go check her out. They were very fascinated about looking for more land but didnt know why their father had fallen in love with Papatuanuku. They searched and searched for more land. Then they heard a storm forming they thought it was their father telling them to come back home so they did a karakia to rise the waka up to the sky but Aoraki preformed the karakia rong the waka started sinking and they climbed on to the top and then there hair turned white and then they huddled up then they turned into turned in to stone. That is how they made the south islands.

Pouāki the glutton

 This is the work i did for writing. It's a piece of writing telling you about Pouāki the glutton who was a ginormous bird that ate a lot of food.

Once there was a bird named Pouāki. The huge bird lived on Mt Torlesse so pouāki could see all the toitoi,flax and raupo down by the plains. Pouāki would watch over the men as Pouāki loved the taste of man flesh, Pouāki could never satisfy its hunger. 

So one day the people in the village noticed that men were disappearing so then a man named Ruru came up with a plan. Ruru found fourty of the strongest hunters/men to go out with Ruru. 

They built a cage for Pouāki to get trapped. Then Pouāki came swooping down to grab Ruru then Ruru ran into the cage and Pouāki was furious that he couldn’t fit. Pouāki got stuck, then Ruru and his men chopped off the legs from Pouāki and once that happened Pouāki could not pick up the men, so then chopped Pouāki’s wings off so he could no longer fly and then they killed Pouāki. 

They then went back to see if he had any little ones so the men and Ruru decided to climb the to the top of Mt Torlesse and there on the top of Mt Torlesse was a huge nest with baby birds in it screeching for Pouāki, so the men killed then baby bird then they could fish and get resources in piece and go back to there normal thing they would usually do.
